Personal Information
Bishop Chuka David Akurienne is a servant of God whose life was transformed after a life-changing encounter with the Holy Spirit on April 23rd, 1995. Born in Nigeria, his early spiritual journey blossomed into a lifelong devotion to ministry, evangelism, and Kingdom advancement.
He began serving faithfully in prophetic and deliverance ministries, later assisting in the planting of a church in 1998, where he served diligently as the first Assistant Pastor. His growth in ministry was shaped significantly under the mentorship of Dr. Joe Onmudiwe (Dynamic Gospel Ministry) and Bishop Simon Iheanacho, a notable international evangelist.
In 2004, he founded Focus In Christ Christian Fellowship, a prayer and intercessory ministry that made remarkable impact, coordinated alongside Pastors Ike Ozoemena, Sheriff Jacobs, Efraim, and Joseph. In 2007, he was formally ordained a Reverend under the Ixthus Council through Bishop Simon Iheanacho.
In 2009, he was led by the Spirit to establish Christ Based Christian Centre (CBCC), a ministry committed to advancing the Kingdom of God through “Words backed with Action.” Today, CBCC continues to grow rapidly in the United Kingdom, Nigeria, and across Africa — with three flourishing branches already established in Nigeria.
His passion for intercession, unity, and kingdom collaboration has led him to serve with and support various Christian movements including Faith Giants Fellowship, HDI Humanity Development Initiative, Solemn Assembly, the Watchman Ezekiel Intercessors, and the Woman at the Well Intercessors.
Through CBCC Humanity Care & Concern Outreach, Bishop Akurienne supports 12 charitable organizations locally and internationally, including the Salvation Army and Oxfam, reflecting his passion for compassion-driven Christianity.
In August 2025, he was consecrated and ordained as a Bishop, recognizing his years of impartation, sound doctrine, and unwavering dedication to the Gospel. He is widely respected as a profound Bible teacher, a bridge-builder among pastors, and a passionate advocate for Kingdom work.
He is joyfully married to Pastor (Mrs.) Emilia N. Akurienne, and together they are blessed with a beautiful family. Their two daughters serve the Lord as international worship ministers, lifting the name of Jesus in ministries across nations.
